Hot & Cool – Kota Pandan Liqueur
To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of pandan. Yet, the Kota Liqueur for itself is definitely a high quality ingredient. Especially, if you use it in an Old-Fashioned variation.

I have tried a few mandarin eau de vies so far, but I never had one distilled from clementines. Of course, those two citrus varities are quite similar that is why you can only but clementines as fresh fruits. Yet, this did not stop me from using the spirit in another summer highball.
Ever since our visit to Casa Eva in Mallorca this year, I was thinking about their newest gin the L’Horabaixa. It was one of the few new gins that was able to impress me. So, I am very happy that Stefan send me a bottle and I could try the recipe I pitched to him […]
One of the last drinks I mixed before Dry January 2024. I always enjoy mixing with Japanese whisky. In this case, I had the chance to create a Rob Roy variation with the Yoichi Single Malt.
It might be an underrated tropical drink, but the Rum Punch does deserve a closer look. Therefore, I came up with my own version. I actually mixed this drink back in 2022. This means, I am diving deep into the recipe backlog here.
It’s been a while since I tried different glasses for eau de vies. So, here is an update on which glass works for which fruit spirit. I tried eighteen different glasses with six different eau de vies. All in all, there were some surprises, but also some obvious discoveries.
I thought I had to make a post for this year’s May 4th. What would be better suited than a limited, boutique Blended Scotch from Compass Box? Unfortunately, this also means that I am sticking to the theme of ‘no-longer-available-whisky’ then…
On with Tropical Month 2023, the ‘Devil Like Me’ is a variation of another drink I created in 2017. The ‘Balthazar Impresario’ is a rare tropical cocktail that uses vermouth. On top of that, both drinks show my love for blood oranges.
I really like using tea in non-alcoholic cocktails. This time the drink was inspired by a classic fizz. However, the spirit is replaced with an organic alpine herbs tea. On top of that, I again used an organic, alcohol-free cider in the recipe!
The idea for this drink was on my list for a long time. Finally, I got around to mix that Daiquiri / Ti Punch variation. Apart from that, I am also presenting the Clement Blanc Canne Bleue Rhum Agricole to you.
