The Next Level of Homemade Drinks
It has been a long time since I featured Farthofer Whisky on my blog. Yet, way back when I did enjoy them very much. Now I am happy to feature another bottle here. Additionally, I also managed to remix the winning cocktail of the ‘Whisky category’ from the “Made in GSA” cocktail competition.
It always was a blast participating in the Home Bar Awards challenges. I am very happy that Chris aka Cocktail Chris brought them back! The first quest of 2025 is all about classic sours, but without any citrus!
September’s Home Bar Awards challenge is about vegetables as cocktail ingredients. Obviously, I had to get some of my vegetable eau de vies out for this! In the end, the result was a umami laced Harvard Cocktail variation.

To be honest I was a bit sceptical about this new gin from the Glasgow Distillery Company. Was there really the need for another Scottish gin? However, when I received an e-mail which informed about the Makar Gin winning two “Masters” medals at the Global Gin Masters 2015 my curiosity was aroused. One helping factor […]
