I guess it is a bit late to post watermelon cocktails. However, when I made the drink back in September there were still tropical temperatures out there. So, this might just serve as a reminder of the next, overly hot summer to come!

Today is Cinco de Mayo and I was asked to create cocktails with tequila and Mezcal from Topanito. So, this is exactly what I did. My initial idea was a deconstructed Paloma cocktail which coincidentally also ended up crystal clear. On top of that, I am also presenting an umami laced Mezcal cocktail to you.
Of course, there are a lot of Amarettos out there. After all, it probably is the Italian liqueur. However, most of them are overpowered by marzipan notes. In the case of the Adriatico Roasted Almond, things look a bit different. This modern approach to amaretto only uses natural ingredients and less sugar than others.
