So Far, So Good – Compass Box Orchard House
I know it is Dry January, but here is a drink I already mixed up in December. On top of that, this is a great drink using Scotch whisky and a variation of another drink I made last year.

There have been a lot of American whiskey drinks here on the blog lately. So, it is time to mix things up a bit, but not too much. This is why we stay with whiskey, but this time with a Scotch and Irish Whiskey combination. The Jungle Bird seemed like the perfect drink for it.
The folks from Kirsch Whisky were so kind to send me the current Distiller’s Edition of the Brewdog Lone Wolf Gin. On top of that, I also received a sample of Vietnamese rhum. Since, the gin has exotic fruits as extra botanicals, I thought to combine them both in a Sour suitable for late summer!
For the second Spirited News in 2022, I am presenting a great Single Malt to you. It comes from a distillery which once was the biggest in Scotland. Apart from that, I also want to talk about a new book from Whisky Store Which.de where you can look up all your favourite Scottish distilleries.

I am a big fan of Douglas Lang Regional Malt’s series. However, there was one standard edition missing. The Gauldrons blended malt whisky consists of different single malts from Campbeltown. This rather unique and almost underappreciated Scottish whisky region was once the whisky capital of the world. However, today only three distilleries remain. When it […]
So, this month’s Home Bar Awards challenge revolves around Bee’s Knees variations. This also means it is right up my alley, because I am a big fan of the original Bee’s Knees cocktail. However, since I did not get my hands on Barr Hill Gin which partnered with Home Bar Awards, I used a barrel-aged […]
For quite some time now, I wanted to come up with a drink using the Fever Tree Smoky Ginger Ale. When I got my hands on the James Cree’s Single Malt, I knew that this was the perfect opportunity to come up with a Horse’s Neck variation. Furthermore, we also take a closer look at […]
