I know mid-September might be a bit late for a rosé wine tasting. However, this category has so much more to offer than just a simple summer sipper on a terrace. In fact, the tasting focused on ‘serious’ rosés. Yet, we also had some unusual ones.
For this wine regular’s table, I chose different orange wines. To be fair, there only eight were orange wines and the first one was a Pet Nat. Yet, it was very interesting to see the different effects skin contact can have on white wines.
Sauvignon Blanc is the favourite grape variety of my mother. So, we did a small tasting to explore the different aspects. With the seven wines we tried, I tried to show where Sauvignon Blanc comes from, what the most famous expressions are and what unusual bottlings can be found. All in all, it was a […]

Nowadays, a lot of countries produce excellent whisky. Australia is no exception to this. So, I was very excited to try the Starward Line-Up in a blind tasting organised by Kirsch-Whisky. All in all, the whiskies did not at all disappoint!
The festive season is approaching fast, and therefore it seems like the perfect time for a little champagne tasting! Since our taste tends towards drier and more natural wines, we focused on small vineyard champagnes. The Dosage ranges from Extra Brut levels to Zero Dosage and three of the five wines we tried also were […]
