Unbottled – Riehen Le Petite Sauvignon Blanc
To be honest, this was the first Swiss wine I tried. Yet, it is an excellent starting point. We had this at Christmas with Raclette and it was a perfect match.
A Sparkling Wine Tasting
It took me more than a month to find the time to write about the latest tasting by our wine regular’s table. We chose the topic of German sparkling wines and of course I mixed in a little surprise.
Unbottled – Ayala Brut Majeur Champagne
I always wanted to try this champagne, because I was curious to see how Bollinger’s influence plays out here. Luckily, my wife gave me a bottle of the Brut Majeur as a Christmas present.
Unbottled – Zehnthof Luckert Weissburgunder
Up until now, I enjoyed every wine I tried from Zehnthof Luckert very much. This also was the case with this ‘Erste Lage’ pinot blanc. Apart from being organically cultivated the grapes also come from an old style vineyard.
Another (Dry) Champagne Tasting
Just before the Christmas season starts, is the ideal time to discover some new champagne. Paired with the fact that our last champagne tasting was two years ago, I gathered some friends and we tried nine different bottles.
Unbottled – Azul Y Garanza Naturaleza Salvaje Orange
I had this bottle of orange wine in my cellar for a while now. So, it was the perfect bottle to open with friends at a wine tasting. Especially, when the bottle in question comes from Azul Y Garanza. One of my favourite producers from Spain, because of their excellent value for money.
Unbottled – Kristinus Kosmo
Lately, I am very into natural wine. Not the one tastes like apple vinegar, but good one instead. In this case, the ‘Kosmo’ comes from renown Hungarian producer Kristinus. This also gave me an excuse to use my new Bordeaux glasses and decanter.

Sometimes there goes a lot of thought into my recipes. Some other time the drink starts with its title and I create a suitable cocktail for the song / music reference. Yet, in this case, I started with two ingredients which were coincidentally standing around in my living room at the same time.
Dry January 2023 – Autumn Tall Tales
Well, I was quite busy in the last few weeks and creating and writing about cocktails definitely came too short. With a baby on the way and quite the workload on my regular job something just had to be paused. Yet, I still managed to come up with quite the delicious no ABV cocktail.
