Dry January – Olive Hearts

I discovered the Dr. Jaglas Dry Hibiscus when looking for high-quality San Bitter alternatives. This hibiscus flavoured aperitivo just sounded perfect for a little NA-highball.

The Dry Hibiscus was created for the Berlin neighbourhood ‘Am Tachales’. It uses hibiscus and oranges as the main ingredients. There are also essences of apple, safflower, lemon, sweet potatoes as well as carrot.

Simple highball

I chose quite the simple recipe for this NA-cocktail. Basically, just a little bit of lemon juice. On top of that, I topped everything off with olive lemonade. I finished everything off with a long lemon twist.

4,5 cl Dr. Jaglas Herber Hibiskus San Aperitivo
3 cl Lemon Juice
Top off with Le Tribute Olive Lemonade

Garnish: Long lemon twist;
Song: Bowerbirds – Olive Hearts;

I really enjoyed the combination of the Dry Hibiskus with the olive lemonade. The lemon juice keeps the drink from becoming too sweet. All in all, the ‘Olive Hearts’ is quite refreshing.
