Usually I keep good track of the drinks I want to write about. Yet, this one slipped through my net, because I accidentally marked it as already published. Nevertheless, this Sazerac variation uses an interesting PX cask rum as well as a “tailored” bitter blend.

Citadelle already have a lot of experience with ageing gins. Yet, they went the extra mile with their Juniper Decadence bottling. So, I came up with a Sazerac version – a drink I usually would not use a gin in.

What should you mix, when you have a juniper spirit on hand? Obviously, I had to come up with a Hanky Panky variation. Especially, when I also had a herbal liqueur from the same distillery on hand.
Sometimes there goes a lot of thought into my recipes. Some other time the drink starts with its title and I create a suitable cocktail for the song / music reference. Yet, in this case, I started with two ingredients which were coincidentally standing around in my living room at the same time.
