Northern Air – Stauning Høst
Stauning’s blended malt has been given a makeover. It now comes in a beautiful, unique bottle. This gave me the chance to review the Høst whisky. On top of that, I also created a cocktail inspired by nordic flavours.

So, I guess this is two for two now, because I have another gin to review. I really like the gins by Joerg Fiedler. One of his newer creations is the Smoke & Oak gin where he cleverly combined barrel aged gin with smoked Lapsang Souchong tea..
Sometimes when you start a series, it is a bit hard to see it through. At the same time, even if you are concentrating on one drink, the versions are endless. However, let us get back on track with our little series on Martinis.
So, this month’s Home Bar Awards challenge revolves around Bee’s Knees variations. This also means it is right up my alley, because I am a big fan of the original Bee’s Knees cocktail. After the big initial hype, I steered a bit clean off Mezcal, because its intense taste was a bit too much for me. However, every once in a while I am in the mood for tequila’s “dirty” cousin and its smoky agave flavour. This is why I wanted to present the Bruxo X Mezcal to […]
