Agave Month ’25 – Autumn Version No. 1
The Autumn’s combination of tequila and sherry sounded too delicious not to try it. Especially, when there is also pear eau de vie involved. Yet, I made a slight error when remixing it.

It is time for Soundtrack my Friend’s Drink again! For Volume 14 Adam collected song suggestions reminding us of our youth and randomly assigned them to another participant. In addition, we should include a childhood snack in the drink or as a garnish. So, I went for a high school party inspired mess of ingredients.
I have been quite busy lately, so it was hard to keep up the pace of posting. Nevertheless, there is another drink in the spirit of agave month. It features a rather rare Makrut lime eau de vie from Matthias Sievert. On top of that, once again my friend Torben from Trinklaune and I collaborated […]
I guess it is a condition of every cocktail maniac to stockpile cocktail books. Yet, I almost never remix recipes from them. Since I vowed to change that, I am writing about Death & Co’s Oaxacan Old-Fashioned. On top of that, I am staying true to newly created ‘Agave Month’!
After tropical month, it is time to shift the focus on something else. Therefore, I decided to make March ‘agave month’. What better way to start than by mixing up a delicious and unique margarita variation? This cocktail uses reposado tequila, along with a spicy tequila infusion, as well as mandarin Curaçao.

The next drink I want to present to you comes from my long list of cocktail ideas. Every time a flavour combination pops into my head, I write it down. So, there is a list of 200+ cocktails I could try. To lower the amount of cocktails on that list, I started going through it […]
You know what they say: Better late than never! However, this time I am over half a year late. Nevertheless, I am presenting a rather special Margarita variation to you. Basically, it is a Fig Margarita, but the fruitiness comes from a fig eau de vie and some fig liqueur.
For Cinco de Mayo I present a new mezcal to you. German spirits importer Perola’s Topanito range features agve spirits with a great value for money. So, as a new addition to the line-up they presented a trio of wild agave mezcals. I chose the Tobalá variety and used it in a Mexican inspired Highball.
