As promised in my article on my holiday drinks, we visited the Stauning Distillery, located right across the Ringkøbing Fjord. So, it was a must-visit.

Obviously, the Kilchoman Sauternes Cask with its ageing in sweet wine casks is perfect on its own. Yet, I could not resist mixing up a cocktail with it. I was inspired by the whisky’s packaging in yellow.

Flavoured rums are a thing for a while now, so it is no wonder that also some crazy ones pop up. In this case, we are reviewing the Cinecane Popcorn Rum. While that immediately evokes the association with cinema and therefore cola, I decided to go in a dessert cocktail style drink.

The German whisky online shop Whic.de already bottles their own whisky. However, this edition is their first standard bottling. Following the current trend, the bottling is a heavily peated Islay Single Malt. So, let us see how the whisky turns out.
