So Far, So Good – Compass Box Orchard House
I know it is Dry January, but here is a drink I already mixed up in December. On top of that, this is a great drink using Scotch whisky and a variation of another drink I made last year.

Ferrand Spirits always sends out great Christmas presents. This year I got a stollen made with their rum. The logical thing to do was to pair it with an Eggnog. So, I based my recipe on the classic one I found at Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s blog and obviously used Plantation Rum in it.
It has been a long time since I made an Old-Fashioned variation. So, I thought I give it a try when reviewing a barrel aged walnut eau de vie. On top of that, I also have a great value-for-money rum from Barbados.

This time I am very excited about the product I am presenting to you. There are two reasons for that: First, Reisetbauer has not officially announced the eau de vie yet. Second, the eau de vie is distilled from cornelian cherries a rather unusual and rare fruit. Apart from that, I also have a great […]
When the folks of Drinksyndikat asked if I wanted to sample their first gin, I was very happy to try it in a recipe from my long list of ideas. I guess that the inspiration for it comes in form of some kind of Twentieth Century variation.
