The Next Level of Homemade Drinks
While spirit forward cocktails are great, you cannot drink the heavy stuff all the time. Especially Summer calls for light cocktails with less alcohol. This is why I came up with a fun highball using L.N. Mattei quinquinas. So, this article is also about the Grand Reserve Blanc and Rouge from Corsica.
Another great spirit I discovered at the Finest Spirit 2019 is the Gölles Alter Pfirsich eau de vie. It so good, that I just had to present it to you in a separate article. However, I was in need for a suitable cocktail. So, I went for one of my favourites the Negroni.
The next drink with a Douglas Laing whisky is a variation on the Last Word cocktail. Or should I better say a variation of the La Ultima Palabra cocktail, because I substituted the gin with smoky Big Peat blended malt. Let us see if the peaty flavours work with the herbal Chartreuse notes.
