Ferrand Spirits always sends out great Christmas presents. This year I got a stollen made with their rum. The logical thing to do was to pair it with an Eggnog. So, I based my recipe on the classic one I found at Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s blog and obviously used Plantation Rum in it.
Just a quick recipe for St. Nick’s and the start of a few more festive cocktails here on the blog. In this case, I created the recipe for some tasty homemade pecan butter fat-washed bourbon.

Until now, my favourite cocktail using Fernet was the Hanky Panky. While this still is a great one, a “new” contender arose – The Toronto Cocktail. Since I had a new Fernet on hand, I thought I would give it a try!
Every October, Brockman’s Gin proclaims Brocktober! This means that for every Brocktail sold 1 € is donated to aid German flood victims. On top of that, it is also a cocktail challenge and for each like Brockman’s donates 10 cents. Here is my entry which I based on red liquorice sweets from Denmark.

For my last drink in my small series on drinks with eau de vie from the Scheibel Distillery, I went for a Lion’s Tail variation. Apart from the addition of some Mirabell eau de vie, I stayed quite true to the original specs. So, let us see how this allspice laced cocktail turned out!
