Agave Month ’25 – No Bullets Spent

I based the drink on the modern classic Negroni Bianco / White Negroni. Yet, I went for Reposado tequila as the base spirit. My changes did not stop there, but I also used a rather nerdy liqueur as well as a split wine base of port and Cocchi Americano.
I came up with this recipe a while ago. All I can remember is that this combination suddenly popped into my head. There might have been an inspirational cocktail recipe somewhere, but I really do not recall. However, the slightly saline Salmiaki liqueur just seemed perfect in this recipe.
Slightly salty and winey
Instead of a bianco vermouth, I used white port in combination with Cocchi Americano as a fortified wine combination. Apart from that, I am very happy with the Chartreuse Gentiane for a gentian liqueur.

3 cl Chartreuse Gentiane Liqueur
0,75 cl Hoos Salmiaki Liqueur
1,5 cl Quinta de la Rosa White Port
1,5 cl Cocchi Americano
Garnish: Dried Pineapple;
Song: Spoon – No Bullets Spent;
The drink first starts like your regular White Negroni. Yet, after a short while the tequila makes its way to your palate, in combination with a slight liquorice and saline note. All in all, it was a tasty Negroni Bianco which goes down very well.
