Liqourice Whisky Sour
Even before we visited the Stauning distillery, I made a variation of a Whisky Sour with Danish whisky and liquorice syrup. I just had to play on the connection of the Danish liquorice syrup from Bülow and the whisky.

The Vallein Tercinier V.S.O.P cognac has recently been given a new design. Fortunately, Kirsch Whisky was kind enough to send me a bottle to sample. I opted for a Cognac Summit variation, which turned out to be the perfect choice for such hot days.
As you will know from my recent article on Irish whiskey tasting, I am a big fan of the country and its whiskey in particular. Fortunately, Kirsch Whisky provided me with their relatively new Element Fusion Series R/1.0.
Some time ago, I had the idea of combining an unaged grape eau de vie with elderflower in a sour-style cocktail. I was thinking of a Snap Dragon meets Pisco Sour kind of drink. Fortunately, my friend Manuel Engel provided me with his grape eau de vie.
We stay a little while longer with the rather interesting Szechuan eau de vie from Manuel Engel. I knew instantly that I had to create a Penicillin variation using it. I discovered the Scaramanga Rhum through my fellow bloggers from Zucker & Zeste. They interviewed Sven Sudeck who now promotes the Rhum. The Scaramanga is intended as an introduction to the relatively unknown category of Rhum Agricole. In this case, the sugarcane juice distillates come from three producers in Guadeloupe. After distillation the Rhum spends […]
When I wanted to name a drink after the song ‘Birds of a Feather’ by Mocky, I discovered that someone beat me to it! My good friend Johann from Cocktailbart already had remixed the cocktail created by Carloin from Boston Tiki Party. Well, after over a year has passed, I finally managed to remix it.
