To the Mountain – A Tea Negroni

When I brewed myself a cup of Greek mountain tea, I was wondering if those flavours would also work in a Negroni. Turns out, they do and on top of that rather well.
Apart from the mountain tea and a little splash of Mastiha liqueur, I kept the original Negroni recipe. This means I went for an ounce each of Windspiel Van Volxem gin, Italian red bitter as well as Casa Eva Vermut.

3 cl Windspiel Van Volxem Gin
3 cl Italian Red Bitter
0,75 cl Mastiha Liqueur
3 cl Casa Eva Vermut
3 cl Stong Cold Samova Total Reset Tea

The drink starts with clear Negroni flavours. Yet, it manages to be at the same time softer, but with also a more viscos mouthfeel. The combination of tea as well as Mastiha really works perfectly well here. The choice of gin and vermouth also was the right one. The wine notes of both really pair great.
